Congratulations to Asst. Chief James Waters, who was recently promoted to command the NYPD’s Special Operations Division. Prior to his promotion, the, then, deputy chief was the NYPD commander on the elite FBI/NYPD Joint Terrorist Task Force. However, the chief’s real claim to fame is that he is the nephew of Past President Mary Waters of the County Cork Association of New York.
