On Obama
What is equally scary is the fact that the Daily library at the University, in Chicago, sealed the papers concerning the Ayers/Obama commission work and would not let reporters review them.

Obama is too used to having his political opponents thrown off the ballot, and now that he actually has to run against an opponent, he is resorting to true form -- a Communist who uses the force of government to silence free speech and dissent. It will not be "patriotic" under an Obama administration to criticize the government. It will probably be a capital offense.

I have always registered as an "independent" because of my basic belief that I have an obligation to myself and my country to vote, not for the party, but rather for the person whom I determine to be best possible candidate.

Having said that, I must be honest with regard to the upcoming Presidential election and say that Barack Obama scares me. I do not think that I could, in good conscience, vote for him to assume the most powerful political office in the free world.

I honestly believe that his greatest asset is his ability to mesmerize people with his unquestioned oratory skills. Beyond that, I fail to see any substance to the man. His ultra liberal, socialist leaning, policies are not in concert with my beliefs as a Catholic and as a proud American veteran.

I truly believe that in this election, following the dictates of my conscience, I will be voting for Senator John McCain.

On Pete King

Hey Pat. Had dinner last night with a retired NY Republican House member, who was bemoaning the fate of Republicans in general, and NY in particular. He said there will only be two elected House Republicans in the state, and Pete King is one of them. We HAVE to keep Pete in the Congress.

God bless,

Patrick,

Read your post about Peter King fundraiser at Mulcahy's. Will get a few people there from McAllister Family Justice Campaign.

On ILIR, Sinn Fein and the AOH

The ouster of Meehan was orchestrated by Sinn Fein "groupies" within the AOH. We were caught unawares. Sinn Fein is no friend of this country and the AOH is a loyal American organization. Seamus Boyle may well have bought himself a challenge at the next convention.

As for any resolution in support of ILIR it is not worth the paper it is written on. Can't you just imagine AOH members across the country - cops, deputies, firefighters, federal agents, district attorneys, lawyers, judges, retired military and businessmen - all lining up to support ILIR/Sinn Fein and their radical anti American cause. I don't think so.
